Fixing the clock

My clock has always run slow - like 2-3 minutes a day slow. But a few years back, it stopped working altogether. Last summer, I decided to tackle it, using the instructions I found here http://www.sl113.org/wiki/Electrical/Clock.

You can't see it clearly, but in the centre of the picture above, there's a spring/wire that I have soldered back to the area where the "fuse" was.

After re-assembly, I hooked it up to a 12V power supply, and did minor adjustments to the set screw over the course of a couple of weeks, slowly working my way into a point where it's +/- 1 minute a week. Good enough for me.
